Funding Opportunities
The VDTR offers its doctoral candidates a variety of financial support. To be eligible for funding, you must be a member of the VDP and be up to date with the compulsory milestones of the doctoral programme.
Information about deadlines for funding applications, terms, forms, and other funding sources are available in our moodle course.

Conference participation
VDP members can apply for reimbursement of expenses (e.g., transportation, accommodation, fees) associated with active participation in conferences, workshops, summer schools, etc.

Event Organization
VDP members can claim expenses for events they organize at the Department of Philosophy, e.g. an invited talk, a seminar, a workshop or a conference.

External Research Stay
VDP members can apply for reimbursement of expenses for an external research stay at another university or organization. In order to do so, they must complete the Public Presentation (FÖP), the Doctoral Thesis Agreement and the Annual Reports.

Summer School Organisation
During the second half of the year, the VDP invites all its members to apply for organising our summer school.

PhD Completion Contracts and Fellowships
The VDP regularly opens completion contracts (12-24 Months) and Fellowships (6 Months) to support their members in the completion of their dissertation.
